The answer to the title is NO. These images are from a project entitled “Devour” by Christopher Jonassen, which displays pictures of the bottom of worn-out frying pans.

This Blood Lamp doesn’t look that bloody, but the way you turn it on can be considered gruesome. It only works once, and you need to add of a drop of your blood to activate it! The idea is to stop and think about how badly you need light before you use it. Designer Mike Thompson created the lamp in order to draw attention to how much energy we waste.

Chinese farmer Hao Xianzhang has perfected the process of growing pears inside Buddha shaped plastic molds. They are sold at 50 yuan (about $7.32 USD) in the village of Hexia, China and are thought to bring good luck.
